ABOUT SEW VALLEY
Sew Valley provides the growing fashion community in Cincinnati with resources and technology to build scalable, sustainable and responsible brands. Through their flexible work space, they provide opportunities for membership, contract services, and education. Sew Valley rents out affordable studio space to local designers and entrepreneurs and helps educate them and work with them to build their brand. In the production room Sew Valley takes on outside projects to help in the development and production stage of companies from all over the US. Lastly, Sew Valley holds free and fee’d classes to help educate the local community with tangible skills as well as education about branding and product creation.
MY ROLE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
I guide clients through their projects by adhering to timelines and maintaining open communication. Continuously, I assess and enhance internal processes on the development and production floor. Overseeing a team of 8-10 employees, I actively contribute to staff management. Alongside my Co Director of Operations, we spearhead the implementation of organizational techniques and policies within SV, contributing to the ongoing development of the company. From design to production sewing, I actively participate in various stages of the process, fostering a hands-on approach. This involves design, sourcing, patterning, prototyping, sampling, and production sewing. In addition, I lead Sew Valley's initiatives in low-impact practices and sustainability.
